Overview
This course replaces M292 Connections to the LV Network effective 01/07/2025
Course Overview: This is an Energex approved training course designed for electrical contractors and their staff who access the Energex LV network and are required to make and or break connections on the network as part of their works.
Target Audience: Electrical contractors, electricians/ line workers within the ESI industry required to establish, replace or repair connections to the Energex LV network.

Entry Requirements/What to Bring:
Participants must provide a USI number and photographic identification on enrolment. Participants must provide and wear their own PPE for this course. This course requires participants to hold a current electrical license and be or work for an approved Energex contract service provider.
Pre-requisites: Nil
Delivery Mode: This course is delivered by face to face delivery.
Duration: 15 hours face to face delivery. (Total delivery including assessment 24hours)

Learning Outcomes
Participants should be able to demonstrate:
- Describe the MEN system
- Explain regulation voltages applicable in Queensland
- Test connections to the LV electricity network
- Follow the requirements of Work Practice 1202
- Test connections to a customer’s premises
- Complete required documentation in relation to connections to the LV network

Assessment
Assessment is a combination of written questions/answers 1 hour theory assessment and 8 hour practical demonstrations.
On Completion: Participants should be able to:
- Explain the low voltage connection issues associated with various electrical installations.
- Identify and apply correct low voltage connection procedures and interpret the results of the neutral integrity test.
- Demonstrate correct testing procedure
- Participants will be issued with a Statement of Attendance issued by Intuitive Training and can request to have their results uploaded to Energex training management system. (additional charges may apply)
